Each cottage has been named after some of the wines in our range, they are colour coded by their brightly painted chimneys which light up the valley somewhat.  Definately a defining feature.  Although humble and rustic, the charm and peace of the valley is a great way to restore one’s natural being, make memories with friends or family and just recharge from the hustle and bustle of busy city living.  

Nestled amongst vineyards the cottages share a backdrop of a magnificent mountain, which is where the name Windfall came from as the mist cascades down the mountains, according to history Eddie Barlow of cricketing fame likened it to the mist being gently nudged by the wind cascading down the range.  When one see’s this with ones own eyes the sight is truly sensational.  The wine farm some 300 odd metres up the road was bought first and then a few years later the farm where the cottages are situated was purchased and the old staff lodgings, deserted and derelict, went through a few small alterations and fresh coat of paint, the guest cottages were born and the rest is history.
